Well the silly thing I had done was before the dinner, on the way while me, my sister, her husband and baby walk towards the restaurant from my Uncle’s home. Halfway through, we passed a big drain. I heard the sound of toad and continued walking.  About a distance away from the drain alr, I still hear the sound of the toad. My bag was moving too. I quickly drop my bag and ranted to my sis, ” I think there is a toad in my bag!”. My sis went Ee! Then the next mmt……. Guess what?

My sis realise what I heard is from her Iphone!

It’s her ringtone go qua qua qua — the default duck sound. Dun believe it sounds like toad? Go and listen if u own Iphone. Haha.

We woke up early in the morning for breakfast to and got ready for our trip. We arrived at Harborfront cruise centre on a search for our tour guide who hand us our ferry ticket. Dear got this online deal where the $94 package includes the ferry tix, 1 day cable ski pass and lunch! it was worth it as the ferry tix is supposed to alr cost us $40+.

We took the one hour ferry and arrived safely at the ski park @ Waterfront City. It was a nice place where they have these rattan seats rest area to put ur stuff, rest, drink and eat. Plus, they consistently played MTV on their flatscreen television. So shiok. First timers were called upon, we started off with the knee boarding. Thought it was quite easy.. Ready, get set, and off —– the cable pull me so hard. I need to gather all my upper body effort to hold on to the ski. It was fun and it feels shiok. But then I still feel terrified whenever I go out. HAHA. Therefore, I did not pluck out my courage to try the wake boarding – scared fall standing up. Cowardly me. lol. Of cos, falling of the ski is inevitable as the turning during the ski gave us a sharp pull. I die die dun let go my hand in order to last till me 2 rounds on the circuit - occassionally. Thereafter, u ve to swim back to the shore, and if u r too far away from the starting point, there is motorbike to pick us up. So cute. Erm but the ground was freaking hot and the board is heavy, think it’s realli training my muscle and hot endurance.

Well, We left at evening and head towards our hotel in their “city”. Novotel – Ken sign up for it’s membership card under the big group of hotels earlier, so we booked using the card. We get discounted rate and 1 for 1 breakfast. The hotel is GOOD. Think it was just renovated. I like the business class interior. So next time I think we’ll stick to the same place and itenary. At night, we went out to the only departmental store we passed by. Nothing much, their clothes are those kind where the maids in sg wear, so, we bought alot of tidbits and some drinks back and ta bao some dinner.

The next day before check out, I went for the hotel’s massage, with the member’s card, I got another 15% discount. So it’s $23. It was veri comfortable. I like this style of massage as compared to Thai massage. This one is gentler. It was good especially feeling straineous after previous day ski.

Then before we left for the holiday, we went to visit Ken’s batam cousin. He own this coffeeshop. Their handmake wanton noodle is so nice… Different from SG one. He also directed us to the spa and seafood that is located near our hotel which we failed to explore the previous night, as the road was dark, drizzling etc. And ironically it seems that all the liveliest shop is faced backwards. Well and I forgot to mention the motorbike on the road keep horning at me. Haa. How to explore.

Well, we truly enjoy this kind of trip and hope to go back soon. Yeah.. Awaiting our Bangkok and Macau trip. Hopefully the situation at Bangkok gets better by June:)

The girls lined up the day with surprise events for me and Rach bday. It was the day, I had my bad haircut. A bad hairday. Didnt show the hairdresser an exact photo of the hairstyle I want. Now I have the secondary sch ah lian head. Haha. I tied my hair up, did some trial and error on the makeup and await for the surprises.

1st stop – Lunch at Royal Copenhetan.  As the name suggest, it is a royal looking tea house selling little desserts and delicate meals. The ambience was like sitting in a cafe at Britain,  relaxingly chatting and munching as you set all the other things off your mind. The food is nice too. We had always walk pass Takashimaya, looking up and see this restaurant. We promised ourselves we will come here one day. So here we are.

2nd stop – Massage at Kenko 313. Had a back massage while the other girls try the fish spa and foot massage. Ever since the massage I had very gd night sleep despite having insomia for the past few days. One gd thing they were having opening promotion too*winks*

3rd stop – DUCK TOUR. Quek Quek

We got on board the duck and was warned by the tour guide that it could be a bumpy ride, but no – not that exciting, wasnt splashed on the way down too. Nevertheless, We cruised ard marina bay on the duck. The tour guide explained the history and future developments of Singapore. It seemed all the important icon are clustered at the area.  It then bring us around City Hall and back to Suntec City.

Along with the package, we got on to the last Hippo Bus, Yeah, it starts at 6.30pm, we were hoping that the journey could last us through the christmas lightups at Orchard. And it did! We first went ard city hall again, the moment we went up the bus we go snap snap snap non stop. Haha , the view up on the hippo bus is perfect for photo taking, we were so near nto the flyer, durain (esplanade), swissotel, an christmas lightups under the dark dark sky. Along the way, the breeze was slapping us in the face, so painful! haha. But definitely worth it!

Last Stop – Shokudo

Ordered an array of differen Japanese food. So yummy!

The day was so fulfilling and me and meini are both satisfied. Thumbs up for Sok and Aileeen. Haha. We definitely enjoyed ourselves

Day 1

Upon arrival at Bangkok airport, we had a tough time queuing up at the ICA. The queue was so freaking long, after that the others went to buy liquor to party at night. Also, we bought Thailand SIM card to keep in touch with each other whenever we need to split up for shopping:) It was a good idea as meeting up is so much easier especially with a big group, at least we are literally in touch with each other and feel much safer. After which, we waited for our van that was pre-arranged to drive us ard for the first day. It took the driver so long to appear too, further more it was hard to look for him since he can’t speak much English. It was after the traffic jam n all till we get to check into the hotel. Good thing is the van is quite comfortable, it fits the 9 of us comfortably, we sleep during the jamming as most of us did not have a good sleep the night before. We quickly settle ourself for lunch as the van passes by as all our stomach was rumbling. We then shop at several places like MBK, National stadium for jersey, had veri nice squid at the roadside stall, How San etc etc. We then bought a lot of Red Bull and Chips back to hotel for Bombing. Haax. As the rest I busy with drinking and chinese chess, me and a few of the girls went for Thai Massage near our hotel. It was quite comfortable aft the tiring day and it only cost us about S$10 for 1hour full body. Nice.

Day 2

Went to Chatuchatt, a huge, enormously big weekend flea market. We had our lunch there with veri nice Thai dishes that I can say it’s much better than Singapore’s Thai Restaurant. The food only cost us about $5 for each person despite the sumptous meal. At Chatuchatt, there are different sections for clothes, pets etc. I only managed to finish 1 long faishon street and we side track to look for the pets. We managed to find it after so much perserverance we had. At first we bought clothes for our beloved Mao Mao, a playboy or rather “playdog” T-shirt pant with gold chain and bling bling, it’s so retro and funny we can imagine Mao Mao will look like Ah Long when he wear there. HAHA. On another occasion we also bought Curly her first dog wear, a ladybird shirt. Curly is so big size it’s hard to find her clothes in SG, but we managed to find it there! LOL.  We then found the puppies and kitty section, so many of it and so CUTEEEE We try to make our way back but the market was so big we were kinda lost, we only managed to go back to shop at the 2nd fashion street, at evening time, some shops had alr closed. We then decided to come again the next day:) We flag a TUK TUK back to the hotel, it’s an iconic transportation vehicle in THailand, however, we were so tired and  having so many shopping bags with us, it will be better if we get a cab. Back to hotel, we wash and dress up for Baiyoke Sky Buffet. It’s a 83 storey hotel, with stunning view of the night lights of BangKok. The other time I came was during the day time, it was a different feel and ambience. As usual, the food was nt amazing. It was the ambience. We then proceed to RCA to club. Route 21 is quite nice, indoor for clubbing, and outdoor was a nice place to chill, ambience was good too:)

Day 3

We took Tuk Tuk back to Chatuchatt again. The driver offered us the ride of just S$1 for 4 of us to get there, but got our help to visit a gems factory, for free gasoline. In the end we bought diamond ring and earings. Back at Chatuchatt, we visited the same stall for the same dishes – Thai Salad, fried chicken, Satay and my favourite – Spicy glass noodle. We then continued to shop on, we went to the section with alot of Thais. Apparently these locals are clustering there to shop due to the low price. I bought a black jeans and a grey acid wash jeans at less than $10 each! Can you believe it. We then continue to shop at the street that we missed out the day before and wrap up Chatuchatt. It will be good if we could bring a fan along the next time we visit Chatuchatt again. It’s super hot. We took a taxi back and sleep in it. Too tired. We then bought some Red bull, beer and coke singlets, Best thing to bring back to Singapore. Aft resting for awhile, we went to Sum Lum night market. We passed by a shop that sell 2nd hand branded goods, they also have some authentic new ones. We considered for very long whether to buy or not and tried to bargain for it. Our desired price is S$600 for the bag but the sales person is so stubborn she offered lowest $610. We would have bought it if she agreed on $600. Aft the disappointment, we went to PatPong with the rest of the group. THe place with tiger show. THere were many young ladies wearing bikini pole dancing, we then went to see the tiger show upstairs. It was so disgusting and such a turn off. Auntie fat fat, still got Transvestite. Eww. Waste of money. We left like in half hour out of the 2 hour show.

Day 4

Had breakfast, pack up and check out of the hotel. We went to KFC for lunch. KFC in other countries are known to be better in SG and MS. It’s true. The whole bunch of us then went for pedicure nearby. We found a shop “top nails”, it’s very good. The skills of my pedicurist was quite good. The seat was veri comfortable, it’s actually massage chair – so shiok. It’s not super cheap, about S$20, but it was very worth it, inclusive of scrub, mask and everything. As we waited to leave for the airport, me and dear went to have KFC again. haha. Before leaving, we went to get Naraya bags. We got a van back to the airport. The flight was delayed. We walk on and on in the airport with my big haversack and finally found Burger King to sit down and rest.  By the time we reach SG i was about 2am, Dear has to go the Penang the same morning for work at 6am. So tiring for him.

Day 5

Was too tired and went on leave today. Went to meet up with Clare, she says she was always asked out by people who was on MC. Haha. THat’s bcos she’s the freest person in the world, not working. Lol. We went to have the 99cents sushi and go for facial at Chinatown Skin Revival. Spent 65 bucks. On the way her boyfriend Sam called. She save his name as Sam Tai, with the surname. I helped her check her phone while she was driving and I pronounce his name as Sum Thai. Haha I then realised it’s actually Sam. We laughed at the slang that I got after just a  few days of stay in Thailand.

I think it would be ideal if we could visit Bangkok again every year. It seemed to always be entertaining and full of life. It’s so much cheaper to live and shop there. So dreadful to come back. Haha. See you again next year, BangKok!

Gave her the agnes B necklace as her present. There’ll be many more bday coming up soon, realli run out of ideas. Especially for Dear’s bday, need to buy him a more expensive present but he say he doesnt need anything. Hmmm. Brain wrecking.. Manour…
